Configurable products
Your salespeople sell configurations your shop cannot build. That gets fixed before the quote, not after.
We put your manufacturing constraints into the configurator, so the impossible choice never appears on screen.
Send us one of your quotesSound familiar?
Let us talk if these sentences sound familiar
"Engineering spends its days fixing configurations made by sales."
"We have an official price list, and five versions in circulation."
"Our distributors call us to validate every quote."
"We find out in production that the combination we sold cannot be built."
"Nobody knows which options actually sell."
If you ticked three of them, the problem is not your salespeople: it is that nothing stops them from getting it wrong.
What it changes
Four things change, and none of them are cosmetic
01
The error becomes impossible rather than corrected.
Incompatibilities are not flagged after the fact by an error message: invalid choices disappear as the configuration moves forward. The salesperson cannot produce an unsellable quote.
02
Engineering steps out of the daily loop.
It defines the rules once, it no longer validates every quote. It sees only the real exceptions.
03
Your sales networks become self-sufficient.
Distributors, representatives, subsidiaries: the same logic, in their language, in their currency, with no phone call to the plant.
04
You finally learn what your catalogue really does.
Which options sell, which have never been picked, which combinations get refused every week. A catalogue is cleaned up with data, not with impressions.
What the configurator does
Concretely, what it does
Needs-based guided selling. The salesperson answers application questions (capacity, environment, throughput) and the system derives the technical configuration. He does not have to know the catalogue by heart.
The constraint solver. Impossible options vanish before the click, and when a conflict arises the system offers the way out: "to pick X, you have to drop Y".
Layered, traceable pricing. Base price, option surcharges, volume tiers, discounts, fees, taxes. Every step is readable, and therefore defensible in front of a customer.
Discount guardrails. Live margin, floor, automatic approval past the threshold.
Multi-market. Several price lists, several currencies, several languages, one single product logic.
Proposal and portal. Branded PDF, compared scenarios in a single send, online review and acceptance.
Configuration analytics. Options sold, dead options, refused combinations, discount rate per salesperson.
The link to the ERP. Items and prices in, order and bill of materials out.
The other options
Buying a configurator off the market is often the right answer
And we will tell you if that is your case. If your product fits a stable option catalogue, if your rules look like your industry's, and if you have no exotic manufacturing constraint, a market product will be cheaper and faster.
We step in when the standard rules engine cannot model your trade. That is the most constant complaint from users of generic configurators: the rigidity of the rules engine.
How it unfolds
Five steps, and the first one costs you nothing
01
1. Three impossible options, blocked in front of you.
Before any agreement. You give us three options that are not allowed to go together, we show you the configurator that refuses them.
02
2. Framing.
We pick one product family, a single one. We inventory the option catalogue, we write the incompatibility rules with your engineering, we connect the ERP for items and prices.
03
3. First scope in production.
A narrow scope, but complete end to end: guided selling, constraints, layered pricing, proposal, write-back to the ERP. A real quote has to come out of it and go to a real customer.
04
4. Adoption.
Training salespeople on their live deals, then measurement: which options sell, which get refused, where the salesperson stays stuck. We correct whatever gets in the way.
05
5. Widening.
The next product families, then the networks: distributors, representatives, subsidiaries, each in their language and their currency. By that stage, your team edits the rules itself.
Give us three options that are not allowed to go together.
We will show you the configurator that prevents them.
Your quote is only ever used to build your example. Never shown to a third party, never cited as a reference without your written consent.
